What: The City of Port St. Lucie will launch BluDot’s “Open for Business” platform, allowing local businesses to list their information in an easily searchable online directory. Business Navigator, Elijah Wooten, will host an hour-long workshop via Zoom to explain this new promotional opportunity to local business owners.
When: The platform launches Aug. 5 before the Open For Business Workshop at 2 p.m.
Where: Open For Business is available on the City of Port St. Lucie’s website, www.cityofpsl.com/openbusiness. The workshop will take place on Zoom, register here.
Why: Open For Business is a platform for Port St. Lucie businesses to promote their services and maximize exposure to new and existing customers. Residents will be able to search for a specific service and find a registered business that offers that service in a map view.
The Zoom workshop will show businesses the details of this platform, including how to add themselves to the directory and how customers can search for a specific business. It’s free to add and search businesses in the directory.
BluDot technology has over 500,000 searches for its 4,000 listed businesses. With a Google search bar and integrated map view, potential customers can search for services and then detailed information for registered businesses will appear. The platform allows businesses to personalize their listings with content-specific marketing, specific products and services and real-time updates.
