St. Lucie County, FL November 20, 2021 In anticipation of the fourteenth consecutive year, Christmas4Kids and St. Lucie County Firefighters are busy preparing for this year’s Christmas morning toy deliveries. This morning, the Target store at 2650 NW Federal Hwy in Stuart will open their doors to 20 or so board and committee members at 6:00 AM for a 3-hour shopping spree.
Christmas4Kids is a nonprofit organization that began with a simple gesture from a local firefighter that wanted to teach his own children the importance of giving and sharing. So on Christmas morning, while many will be at home opening gifts and celebrating with family; local firefighters, family and friends will be delivering toys and clothing to those less fortunate.
Every year, St. Lucie County fire stations and local businesses begin collecting unwrapped toys early in November; however, fundraisers and generous sponsors contribute to making Christmas special to families in need.
