Game of Dominoes Turns Deadly in Fort Pierce

A game of dominoes turned deadly Friday night in Fort Pierce.

At 8:15 p.m., police responded to the 2500 block of Avenue K and found a 54-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to witnesses, gunfire erupted after the victim and suspect began arguing while playing a game of dominoes. Eight evidence markers were visible at the crime scene.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not confirmed if a suspect is in custody.

Friday’s shooting occurred a month after a 29-year-old mother was shot and killed at a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration in Fort Pierce.
