This year’s GraceWay Village Butterfly Kisses Father-Daughter Dance marks ten years of bringing little princesses together with their daddies or male role models for a day of bonding, memory-making, and delightful moments together.
The sold-out crowd filled the festively decorated Barn at Oleander in Port St. Lucie to dance, partake in hula hoop contests, visit a variety of activity tables, enjoy a tasty lunch, and much more.
Proceeds of the event help GraceWay Village fund its programs which significantly impact the local ‘village.’
The vision of GraceWay Village is “to ease the lives of families in crisis while building a foundation for a healthy, independent, and sustainable life.” Last year alone, the Café provided over 63,000 free hot meals, while the Clothing Boutique provided clothing for over 2,400 children.
GraceWay Village also provides free basic life skills workshops. Examples of these life skills include budgeting knowledge, healthy eating, and parenting/relationship building. The workshops are provided weekly and led by partnering agency facilitators as well as prerecorded videos.
Looking ahead, GraceWay Village plans to build a Family Restorative Living Facility to provide temporary housing to families threatened with homelessness. The Facility currently has a million-dollar matching grant opportunity.
CEO Chrystal Netherton said, “It’s such an honor and a privilege to be restoring hope and renewing lives in our community. We couldn’t do this without your support and that of our sponsors and volunteers.”
Butterfly Kisses sponsors include Walmart, Down the Hole Testing & Drilling, DSK Meal Planning & Catering, Richard K. Davis Construction, Congressman Brian Mast, Home Perspective, iThink Financial, Commuter Cars and Trucks, Colorado Pawn & Jewelry, Garber Buick GMC Fort Pierce, Post Insurance, All Area Roofing, Posten’s Performance, and AAA Concrete.
Thanks to the Cake Lady, DJ Chris Calvo with Next Level Entertainment, Calvary Port St. Lucie Journey Groups, RJB Bounce House & Party Rentals, and Pastor Tim O’Carroll with Discovery Church for providing the blessings.
